They’re not something you want to own outside of warranty. Get a car with a traditional automatic transmission (available with the 1.6 & 2.0 petrol engines). The 4F27E automatic transmission mated to the 1.6 and 2.0 petrol engines is fairly reliable.

I'm idly considering getting a MK3 Focus in the future to replace my MK2 1.8 Petrol Focus, which has given many years fine service. The problem is the options on the MK3 For petrol engines seem a bit limited, so I thought I'd ask which ones are the most sensible/least trouble.
